CGC Trading Cards Registry Featured Set: Pokémon Celebrations – Classic Collection

The Pokémon Celebrations – Classic Collection is a subset of the Celebrations Collection, a small set of cards released to commemorate Pokémon's 25th anniversary in October 2021. Part of the Sword and Shield TCG era, this 27-card set is small but mighty! It's composed of the 25-card Classic Collection and two special commemorative metal cards featuring Charizard and Pikachu.

The Classic Collection subset features reprints of the Pokémon Trading Card Game's most iconic cards, including Base Set Charizard, Birthday Pikachu and more, as well as cards that introduced innovations in gameplay. Over its 25-year history, the Pokémon TCG has introduced several new types of Pokémon, such as baby Pokémon, Dark Pokémon and Shining Pokémon, all of which can be found in the Classic Collection subset.

This subset also includes cards that showcase important parts of the Pokémon TCG's past. Examples include Reshiram and Zekrom from the Next Destinies Black and White set, which were the first full art cards. Meanwhile, Mew ex from the EX Legend Maker set was one of the first cards to be featured in a winning World Championships deck two years in a row (2006 and 2007).

Archangeljmp's Celebrations – Classic Collection set is complete and includes cards graded CGC 7.5 and higher! His Base Set Charizard — one of the most iconic cards in the Pokémon TCG's history — stands out in a CGC 9.5. CGC Trading Cards is adding new sets to the CGC Trading Cards Registry on a weekly basis! As you explore and build new sets in your Registry, take advantage of the Autobuild feature — a tool that lets you easily add cards already in your inventory to a new set.

To use the Autobuild feature, make sure all cards are added to your inventory. Then create the set you would like to build. Once you have created the set, you can click on “Autobuild Set” to import all the cards from your inventory that belong to that set!
